Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Cosmic Budgeting iOS app ("the app"), operated by Kunal Singh ("we", "us"). By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app. If these Terms conflict with Apple's agreement on a matter Apple's agreement governs, Apple's agreement controls.

What the app is

Cosmic Budgeting offers daily, astrology-themed reflections about everyday money habits. Readings are based on your sun sign (from your birth date), the goals and spending style you choose, and real astronomical events such as moon phases and planetary retrogrades.

Entertainment and reflection only

Astrology is used as a framing for reflection and entertainment. It is not a scientific or reliable method of predicting events, and the app does not claim to predict your financial future. Readings are general and are not tailored to your actual finances. The app does not know your income, balances, debts, spending or transactions.

Not professional advice

Nothing in the app is financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, credit or other professional advice. The app does not recommend any investment, security, lender, product or financial strategy. Before making important financial decisions, consider speaking with a qualified professional.

Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for your financial decisions and their outcomes. Any action you take based on the app is at your own discretion and risk.

No guarantees

We do not guarantee any result, including that you will save money, reduce debt, spend less or feel more confident. Astronomical calculations are made with published formulas and are generally accurate to within about a day, but may occasionally differ from other sources.

Subscriptions, free trials and renewal

• Full access to the app requires a paid auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly or yearly. Prices are shown in the app and on the App Store before you subscribe.
• A free trial may be offered. Its length is shown on the subscription screen before you start. No payment is taken during the trial.
• Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or current period ends, the subscription renews automatically and your Apple ID is charged the price shown for your plan.
• You can cancel anytime in the app (Settings → Manage Subscription) or in your iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current trial or billing period.
• Payments, renewals and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. See the Refund & Cancellation policy for details.

Your content and the app's content

The app, its readings, text, illustrations, design and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and Apple's terms.

You may share individual readings or share cards from the app on social media for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, modify, distribute, sell or resell the app or its content, except for personal sharing as described above;
• reverse engineer or attempt to extract the app's source code, except where the law allows it;
• use the app for any unlawful purpose; or
• interfere with or disrupt the app.

Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or that readings will be accurate or suitable for you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of money, profits, savings, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the app or any decision you make based on it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

Changes to the app and these Terms

We may update, change or discontinue features of the app. We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and let you know in the app. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your place of residence requires otherwise.
